MPL on the Go!
Could you help Manitowoc Public Library win a grant? All it takes is some online voting. A lot of online voting. A quick explanation: MPL has entered a video titled “MPL on the GO!” into the USA Today Network/Gannett News “A Community Thrives” (ACT) grant competition. If we were fortunate enough to be awarded one of the grants as a Top 10 Finalist in the “Education” category, we could be awarded sufficient funds to acquire two vending machine-style, off-library book dispensers. It would bring the library closer to our community and help us to promote literacy throughout the community, allowing us to conveniently get more books into more people’s hands and helping us to promote literacy throughout the community. However, to make it into the Top 10, MPL needs a lot of people to vote for our video.. Here’s the deal—click on http://act.usatoday.com/submit-an-idea/#/gallery/59336228 or Kristin Stoeger’s picture here starting on April 12th and continuing through May 12th. Either click will send you to our video in the ACT gallery. Once there, all you need to do is watch our short video and vote for it. Each individual is allowed to vote once per day every day during the voting period. So, vote “MPL on the Go!” and vote often! Thank you for your support!
