Digital Arts Project

This digital arts collaborative project is to provide summer arts programming at the Manitowoc Public Library and Rahr-West Art Museum for teens (ages 13-18). Teens will complete a twelve week series (June 12 to August 28 from 1:00-2:30 pm) of digital art creation and exhibition workshops. Teens that sign up and complete the twelve week workshop will be awarded a Digital Arts Certificate. This certificate recognizes demonstrated competence with contemporary art, digital technology, and exhibition techniques.

Participants will meet weekly to create original digital art projects in drawing and movie-making. They will develop and demonstrate new technology and media-based skills using the leading-edge equipment available in the Library’s Community Creation Room (CCR). The Community Creation Room has a video creation station which includes specialty cameras and professional-grade editing software, as well as a music creation station with the technology of a sound recording studio.
