If anything welcomes the onset of spring more than oversized depictions of flowers, we certainly haven’t heard about it! And who better to use as the inspiration for executing a floral painting than Georgia O’Keeffe, the “Mother of American Modernism”? If you’re interested in creating a personal masterpiece based on O’Keeffe’s “Red Canna” while sipping on a refreshing glass of vino, have we got a great evening to offer you—A Toast to Georgia O’Keeffe: An Evening of Art and Wine. Sounds like a pretty sweet night, doesn’t it? The time has come to trip the light artistic with an evening of art and wine at MPL. Erin LaBonte—Associate Professor of Art at Silver Lake College and the creative force behind many of the amazing murals scattered about Manitowoc—will be providing step-by-step instructions as she guides participants towards their end product. All supplies (canvas, paint, brushes, wine) will be provided. Seeing as adult beverages are being served at this workshop, this is a 21-and-over event. The class is open to thirty participants, the cost is $30, and registration is required!
