Great Decisions Series Returns in February

The Manitowoc Public Library and the League of Women Voters of Manitowoc County, along with the Manitowoc Public Library Foundation, Friends of Manitowoc Public Library, Lakeshore Peacemakers, Pax Christi, University of Wisconsin-Manitowoc, and Silver Lake College, are pleased to bring the 2014 Great Decision series to the community.

The series, a project of the Foreign Policy Association (FPA), will begin Monday, February 3, at 6 p.m., in the Library’s Balkansky Community Room. This series is free and open to the public. This is the eighth year it has been offered in Manitowoc and the crowds have been growing.

All session begin at 6 pm. Approximately 45 minutes will be devoted to the scholar’s presentations, followed by questions and discussion. The Great Decisions Briefing Book, which complements the speakers’ presentations, is available at the Manitowoc Public Library Service Desk. The book, which offers several articles about each of the eight topics, is available for $10 each.
