My name is Carrie Pearson and I have been the Teen Associate at Manitowoc Public Library since February 2020. Before that I worked at both public and academic libraries in Brown County and Madison, WI. I grew up right here in Manitowoc and graduated from Roncalli High School.
I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in English and Creative Writing with a certificate in Asian American studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I later received my Master’s of Library and Information Studies from their iSchool with a specialty in Youth Services.
Some of my favorite types of books are graphic novels and manga, which I studied during my undergraduate degree and abroad in Japan. My second passion outside of books is acting; I enjoy doing community theater, improv, and I am an actress for the Dinner Detective Murder Mystery show. In my spare time, I like to write, draw, and play video games and Dungeons & Dragons. If you have questions about any of these topics, feel free to visit me to talk about them!
