Manitowoc Public Library is delighted to be presenting "An Evening with Sarah Vowell" at Capitol Civic Centre, 913 S. 8th Street, in Historic Downtown Manitowoc at 6:30 PM on Thursday, July 14.
This program is FREE and open to the public thanks to the generous sponsorship of Manitowoc Public Library Foundation, Courthouse Pub, Manitowoc Public School District, and Capitol Civic Centre.
Vowell—"New York Times" best-selling author, historian, NPR contributor, and star of Pixar Studio's "The Incredibles" animated film series—will be participating in an onstage conversation focused on her book, "Assassination Vacation," followed by a Q&A session. She will also devote a bit of time to her personal and historical perspective on Native American culture in the United States.
After Ms. Vowell's presentation, people will be able to convene in the CCC's Mertens Lounge for a book-signing session. Should anyone need to acquire "Assassination Vacation" to be signed that evening, Bev Denor from LaDeDa Books will be on-hand with copies available for purchase.
Please Note: Due to the ongoing pandemic, Ms. Vowell has requested that all those in attendance at her event wear face masks. Should anyone needs a mask the evening of the presentation, one will be provided for them. Thank you for your cooperation.
