About Shelf Care Boxes
Ready to explore the shelves? Ages 11-18 are invited to sign up for a our new Shelf Care boxes! These boxes will take you on an adventure through the Manitowoc Public Library YA stacks, introduce you to authors-both popular and unfamiliar, and maybe we'll even dive into the arcane knowledge hidden in the non-fiction section.
Each themed box will contain three books, a snack, a toy or art project, and stationery to surprise and entertain.
Each month, sign-up for a box will run the 1st through the 15th. Boxes will become available to pick up on the 1st of the following month.
All that needs to be returned is the box and the books to the Manitowoc Public Library and you get to keep the goodies! Each month will be a new journey to meet your next favorite author.

Just fill out the form above before the 15th of the month. Your box will be ready to pick up on the 1st of the next month. You will have 8 days to pick up the box.

These boxes are only available for pick up at Manitowoc Public Library
The books will be returned to the shelves. We can only hold them for the regular hold period, which is eight days. If you don’t pick up a box, you will not be eligible to receive next month’s box.
The box must come home to Manitowoc Public Library, but the books can be returned to any library in the Manitowoc-Calumet System.
Books (both fiction and non-fiction); snacks like popcorn or cookies; squishies; pens and pencils; notebooks; art projects; bookmarks; and more!
No, each box will have a unique collection. The rest of the contents will be the same.
Return them to the library! Maybe poke around the shelves or ask a librarian to help you find something you will like. Be adventurous. The best way to know if you don’t like a book is to read the first few pages.
