If you were unable to get tickets, please keep the following points in mind:

-- We're requesting that people who are unable to use their acquired tickets to please contact the Capitol Civic Centre Box Office at boxoffice@cccshows.org so that these tickets may be released to other interested parties on the Waiting List.

-- Ticketholders must be in the auditorium at the event start time. Any tickets not redeemed by 6 PM on the day of the event will be released to other interested attendees.

-- Standby seating will be available for this event:

  • Head to the Box Office beginning at 5 PM to get a standby number. ️
  • We'll announce the estimated number of available seats at 5:45 PM.
  • Seating starts at 6 PM based on your standby number.

*A standby number does NOT guarantee entry. We can't guarantee seating together for groups or seating accommodations.

Manitowoc Public Library is delighted to present "An Evening with Temple Grandin." The evening will feature an onstage interview with Dr. Grandin, followed by a Q&A session, and a book signing.  To submit a question for the Q&A session, simply email your question to khansen@manitowoc.org by June 20. Copies of Dr. Grandin's books will be available for purchase.  Please be aware the event will not be livestreamed.  "An Evening with Temple Grandin" is made possible through the generous support of the Friends of Manitowoc Public Library and Visit Manitowoc.

Globally-known for her work in autism education and animal behavior, Dr. Grandin is the New York Times bestselling author of several published books, in addition to numerous academic works on animal behavior.  She has been interviewed on media outlets such as CBS, ABC, the Today Show, and was the subject of an Emmy award-winning HBO film, Temple Grandin.

One final item: while in Manitowoc, make sure to stop in at Manitowoc Public Library to take in the “American Farmer” exhibition. This exhibit, a Program of ExhibitsUSA, a national division of Mid-America Arts Alliance and the National Endowment for the Arts, celebrates the living spirit of our heartland through the faces and voices of the people who keep it alive. Featuring forty-five full-color and black-and-white portraits and interviews with farmers across the United States—from cattle ranchers to strawberry growers—“American Farmer” tells the honest and inspiring stories of the true stewards of our land.
