Pick up your copy of the discussion book near the Service Desk, and then join MPL Staff for an engaging discussion!

This month, we'll be reading Ready Player One by Ernest Cline. Books will become available for checkout a month prior to the discussion on July 20.

About the Book:
Ready Player One is a science fiction novel by Ernest Cline, published in 2011. The story is set in a dystopian future in 2045 and follows protagonist Wade Watts on his quest to find an Easter egg hidden inside the virtual world of the OASIS by its creator, James Halliday. The discovery of the Easter egg would lead Wade to inherit Halliday's fortune and control of the OASIS. The novel is packed with references to 1980s pop culture and heroic literature, and was adapted into a major motion picture directed by Steven Spielberg in 2018.
