Misako Rocks! is a Japanese illustrator, comic strip artist, and youth graphic novel author. Misako left Japan at a young age and came to America in order to fulfill her dream of becoming an artist. Come learn about her journey when you join us for “Misako Rocks! A Manga Drawing Workshop.” This hands-on, super interactive, high-energy manga event for aspiring artists between the ages of 11 and 18—co-sponsored by Manitowoc Public Library and Manitowoc International Relations Association (MIRA)—will inspire participants to explore their creativity and push themselves outside of their comfort zone while guiding them to create their own original manga characters! We hope that you can join us for this step-by-step tutorial in Manitowoc Public Library’s Balkansky Community Room from 1-2 PM on Saturday, September 30. Registration is required and opens at 5 PM on Friday, September 15. Come back here then to secure your spot for this fantastic experience!
